Jesus encourages us to go out and seek the lost, because there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than 99 righteous people who don’t need repentance.

Luke 15:4
What man among you, who has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it?
