Researchers from the University of Nebraska Medical Center found that diets rich in omega 3 fatty acids delayed the spread of breast cancer cells. Dividing female Bagg Albino mice into two groups. One group got a diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids the other getting a diet rich in omega 6 fatty acids. Then injected both groups with breast cancer cells. At the end of the study those getting the omega 3 diet had tumors smaller the other group.
