Dead Encounter

Tyler and Josh call a late-night New York radio show that invites listeners to share true ghost stories. DJ Frank Bell takes their call, but before they can speak, he describes Tyler’s apartment, Josh’s costume, and the exact time they will die. He says every caller who stays on the line until midnight becomes part of the station’s permanent audience.

The boys smash Tyler’s radio and flee into the street, believing they stopped the broadcast. The surprise: every car radio in the city suddenly turns on at once. DJ Bell thanks them for calling, and Tyler and Josh hear themselves laughing through thousands of speakers—recorded from a show that aired twenty years earlier, on the night they were born.
