The minute you choose to be in the Music Industry is the moment you decide to have to deal with rejection on a fairly regular basis. Putting yourself out there in the way that Musicians and Artists need to being vulnerable with your thoughts, talents, skills and image is often a daunting process. 

Please don't grow a thick skin! Please don't put up walls that stop you from being vulnerable and able to show your authentic self. There are better ways to deal with rejection and grow stronger in the process.
