Mel’s Mindful Moments S1-E97
Our modern society is so fast paced that it can be very stressful.
Everyone and everything is moving at a high rate of speed.
The of sources of our stress can come from anywhere…
From our jobs, schools, our spouses or relatives and even our commute to work.
How can we deal with it?
Mindfulness teaches us to be in the moment.
But how do you do that when the current moment is full of stress?
You need to learn how to detach!
The stressful situation will still be going on, but if you detach yourself from it, instead of being in it, your whole perspective will change.
Envision yourself above the situation.
This out of body experience if you will, should give you a better vantage point and greater insight.
This will give you a clearer picture as to what is going on and may provide a possible solution. Even if it simply gives you the ability to handle the situation better, that would be better than nothing all.
This practice is much like an outsider looking in. The outsider does not feel the stress and may even view it completely different from those who are directly involved in it.
Sometimes we are too close to the problem and can’t see a resolution.
So the next time you find yourself in a stressful situation, give this technique a try, it just might change your whole idea about the matter.
I wish you success.
