This week we dive into one of the most horrifying serial murder cases in American history: the story of Dean Corll — better known as The Candy Man Killer. Operating in Houston during the early 1970s, Corll was responsible for the torture and murder of at least 27 young boys and men, though investigators believe the real number could be much higher. What made this case even more disturbing was that Corll didn’t act alone. We unravel how two teenage accomplices, David Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley, helped lure victims to Corll’s home with promises of parties, drugs, and money—only for those victims to face unimaginable torture.
