At age 10, I had a pet rat named Eloise (named after Eloise, from the movie Eloise at Christmas). She was white with black spots, enjoyed mini pancakes & yogurt drops, and was the closest thing to a chihuahua that my parents would let me have as a pet.

This rodent single-handedly created my identity and made me a Rat Girl. Welcome to Rat Diaries.
