In this episode, Dee Sharpe Thoughts Podcast host, Diana Sharpe takes you on a journey of her life over the past 5 years, as she chronicles some of the challenges she has faced as she makes a new country her home. She embarks on this journey filled with excitement, hope and many dreams, only to face many challenges in her pursuit of planting her feet on solid ground. She travels one bumpy road after, as her faith, strength, courage and resilience are repeatedly tested and sometimes appear to fail her.
After a difficult 6 months, she pauses to write an entry in her journal, penned on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 and in the entry she cries out to God, tells him she is struggling (again) and she asks the big question," God, why?" It is this entry and constant prayers, discipline and intentional self-improvement efforts that will eventually lead her to discovering her passion, purpose and this Podcast.
Listen to hear how she weathered the storms of two seasons of unemployment, a major surgery, 40lbs weight gain and a myriad of other issues and finally how she emerged stronger, more resilient, more courageous, more faithful through her relationship with God, family, friends and her community.
It has been a long road to true self-discovery and purpose but as we hear from her, she is now empowered to serve and impact the world, the God-way!
She ends by sharing these inspiring nuggets:
There are blue skies after storms
It is important:
To bring your own sunshine
To know that you are your own safety net
To turn your own wheel!
Thank you for listening!
