In this episode, I share one of the most painful but life-changing moments of my journey, the lesson I learnt in SS1 about not being too loose with words, attitude, and actions.
It was during an excursion. I was young, outspoken, and feeling grown. But in one careless moment, I was rude to an elderly man. At that time, it felt small. Later, it became something I could not forget.
I carried that guilt with me. When I wrote JAMB the first time and didn’t gain admission, I blamed myself. When I wrote it the second time and still didn’t enter university, I blamed myself even more. I kept asking, “Is this punishment? Is this because of what I did?”
This episode is about humility. It’s about how pride can be subtle. It’s about how one mistake can teach you what success never could.
I talk about the pain of delay, the weight of self-blame, and how I eventually realized that growth doesn’t come from condemning yourself, it comes from drawing closer to God, surrendering your guilt, and allowing Him to reshape you.
Sometimes, the delay is not punishment.
Sometimes, it is preparation.
If you have ever blamed yourself for something in your past…
If you have ever felt like your mistakes disqualified you…
If you have ever experienced delay and wondered why…
This episode will speak to your heart.
Because humility is not weakness.
It is wisdom in disguise.
