Even though Judas was one of Jesus' disciples, he helped the chief priests arrest Jesus. The priests paid Judas thirty pieces of silver for his help. Later; due to great sense of guilt for betraying Jesus, Judas tried to give back the silver. When he was unable to undo what he had done, he committed suicide.
