Greed isn’t just about wanting more—it’s about worshiping more. In this Sunday’s sermon, we were reminded that greed is a form of idolatry because it takes our devotion, reverence, and value away from God and places them on material things (Colossians 3:5).
🔹 Greed vs. Ambition: The difference is purpose—greed desires more for the sake of more, while ambition seeks to fulfill purpose.
🔹 Satisfaction isn’t found in abundance but in purpose (Ecclesiastes 5:10).
🔹 The more you get, the more you want—this is the trap of greed. But contentment is true gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
🔹 If there’s no plan for others in your prosperity, you are in futility (Luke 12:13-23).
To break free, we must self-examine—greed can only be self-diagnosed. The cure? Faith in God, contentment, and generosity. 🙏🏾
