Debbie Carroll is a local Texas artist who is a rising star in our yearly EnPleinAirTEXAS event. She sat down with us to talk about how she got started in EnPleinAirTEXAS, her experience with Plein Air, and her journey as an artist!

Debbie Carroll talks about her art in her artist ststament: "My work is about expressing the feelings I have when surveying the land of this region I call home. The challenge is to draw out the intrinsic beauty of the ordinary and overlooked. In my paintings, I strive to elevate my subjects, not to show the obvious, but to reveal the extraordinariness of the familiar."
