Debbie is a Associate Professor in Management at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), the Faculty Leader of Corporate Citizenship and the Director of Master of Social Entrepreneurship.

Debbie was a consultant for United Nations Volunteers and co-wrote the State of the World Volunteerism Report. She has submitted a briefing paper on volunteering and social inclusion to the Prime Minister and Cabinet and took part in consulting and writing for the Federal and NSW strategies on volunteering.

She has published over 100 articles on CSR and volunteering, including over 45 papers in leading academic journals. Debbie has also written a book, Strategic CSR: Tools and theories for responsible management.
