ABOUT OUR JUDGES:

Arisa White is a Cave Canem fellow and author of the poetry collections, Hurrah’s Nest and A Penny Saved, and the chapbooks Disposition for Shininess and Post Pardon. She is a member of the PlayGround writers’ pool and her play Frigidare was staged for the 15th Annual Best of PlayGround Festival.

Daniel Orozco is the author of the short story collection, Orientation and Other Stories. He has won a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and the Whiting Writers’ Award. His work has appeared in McSweeney’s, Harper’s Magazine, StoryQuarterly, Zoetrope, The Best American Short Stories, The Best American Essays and the Pushcart Prize anthology.

ABOUT OUR CO-HOSTS:

Elyse Fenton is the author of Clamor, selected by D.A. Powell as winner of the 2009 Cleveland State University Poetry Center First Book Prize. Her poetry and nonfiction have also appeared in American Poetry Review, Pleiades, Bat City Review, The Massachusetts Review and The New York Times.

Evan P. Schneider is the author of the novel A Simple Machine, Like the Lever and the founding editor of Boneshaker: A Bicycling Almanac. Together with his wife, he runs the blog Hive of Industry.
