Today’s guest is Robert Merry, veteran, journalist, historian, and author of five books.

Robert is a man of many talents, an Army veteran, a former publishing executive, and a historian, but the bulk of his career has been covering American politics as a reporter and a journalist since the Nixon administration. He is here with me today to talk about his latest book Decade of Disunion: How Massachusetts and South Carolina Led the Way to Civil War.
