There was hypocrisy and spiritual deception of religious leaders during the time of Jesus, particularly the chief priests and scribes who plotted His death while maintaining a show of holiness. Their concern was not righteousness but public perception and timing to avoid an uproar of the people. Sinners are much the same by being crafty and ingenious to cover their tracks of sin while appearing to be spiritual and accepted by others. Sermon by: Assistant Pastor Bobby Clark
