Advent is a time of countdown or preparation for Christmas. Christ is coming whether we are ready for Him or not. For the message of Advent is not put up the decorations, here I come, but watch, wait and be ready. No one knows the day or the hour when He will come. It is both a warning and a promise. Advent invites us to fill the cup of today with a full measure of tomorrow. Ready or not for the Son of man will come at an hour you do not expect Him. God is present, God is in control and He will come again. God is in charge and hope is alive.
