One of the most cherished passages of the New Testament has been used by musicians both sacred and secular in Christmas music, been featured memorably in Charlie Brown’s Christmas TV special, and is familiar to our culture. What we will see in a few short verses is the astonishing, milennia-interrupting work of God as He sends His Son to earth - as a baby. In spite of generations of prophecy, His own people were not ready for Him.
