The Lens of Life

Deception in the Church

Listen Later

  1. A pastor unknowingly fell in love with a transgender women. Some of the congregation knew the identity of the transgender and never told the pastor. The pastor married the person he loved, but only found out that he dated and married a transgender woman on his webbing night. In an act of rage he stabbed his tran-bride 40 times. Why didn’t the congregation tell the pastor about the person he was interested in months or years before asking the transgender woman to marry him. He only knew that he was dating a woman and had no clue that he was dating a transgender woman. Most likely he had plans to have children with this beautiful person and live a godly life as a pastor. The congregation lost a pastor due to keeping a cruel secret. The pastor will most likely be imprisoned for most of his natural life. And I imagine he would need counseling to understand how his congregation and the person he loved deceived him and such a painful way. I believe the transgender woman was hoping her new husband would accept her the way she was; that was if you erased his faith and culture. This situation is a poor and dysfunctional representation of the church and and the LGBTQ community. I hope these institutions of faith and the LGBTQ plus community will read about the various factors in this story. I hope each community evaluates their beliefs, and their hearts, so this will never happen again. So.
