Deciding Before Acting

Scripture: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7

Spiritual maturity shows itself long before visible action. Paul reminds us that decisions are formed in the heart before they ever become behavior. A healthy heart allows us to choose thoughtfully rather than react impulsively.

Many regrets come from decisions made too quickly—without prayer, reflection, or alignment with God’s truth. When the heart is rightly formed, obedience becomes joyful, not pressured. Freedom and conviction meet in the heart before the hands ever move.

Prayer: Lord, slow me down. Teach me to decide in my heart before I act with my hands.
