Let me further illustrate the right way of taking decisions, with my own experience. The challenge before us was the best utilization of the space of depot and we set on to achieve it by optimizing the "storage". For this, the key idea was to organize the storage of Dunlop products in a way that the distance that they have to travel from unloading bay to loading bay from where they are dispatched to the customer, becomes minimum. We further took several out of box decisions but they all worked perfectly well since we were always clear about that one particular area which was to be optimized and all other decisions ran subsidiary to it.
