Many of us think of the theme of renewal as the Jewish New Year approaches. With Rosh Hashanah comes a fresh energy -- in the language of the mystics, a "new light" that the world has never seen before.
In truth, we may experience a taste of this every day. One of the foundational teachings of the Baal Shem Tov is that existence is renewed at every moment of existence. Nothing is just because it is; it's constantly being made to be.
