Welcome to Decorating the Set: From Hollywood to Your Home with Beth Kushnick! In the age of technology, the landscape of making television and films has changed with the rise of the graphic designer. Whether it’s creating Peter Florrick’s bespoke political campaign posters that hang on a wall in the background of a shot or creating a seamlessly photoshopped picture that will sit on a character’s desk, Beth has one man she turns to for her graphic designer needs, the talented, Lyle Booth. This week, Beth and special co-host, Producer Mike, sit down with Lyle for a deep dive into the world of graphic design and how it has changed the way television is made today.
The Interview with Lyle begins at Time Code: 5:32.
GUEST BIO: LYLE BOOTH
From Sesame Street to Law & Order, I have worked directly with creators, producers, directors, writers, educators, designers, decorators, editors, photographers, props, scenics, programmers, VFX, video & post production for globally recognized properties for over 25 years.
My experience allows me to work quickly and efficiently to fulfill projects under tight deadlines. I can both create and direct creation of assets, interpret ideas, suggest effective options, explain myself clearly and inspire others. I can build and run a crew and work with outside vendors to bring in projects on time and to spec in environments where change is a constant and accuracy is paramount.
My personal skill set includes photo editing, book, magazine & newsprint covers and layouts, illustration, signage, logos, interface design, motion graphics, animation, game, interface & character design and storyboards.
