For our finale episode, Beth and Caroline had the chance to sit down with Doug Harlocker, one of the premiere prop masters working in film today! Over his nearly 40-year career, Doug has worked on some of the very biggest movies, including, Independence Day, the Men in Black franchise, Dune and Dune: Part Two, Blade Runner 2049, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, to really just name a few.

GUEST BIO: DOUG HARLOCKER

Douglas Harlocker is considered one of a small group of world renowned Prop Masters. Known for his design work in the motion picture industry, Doug was one of the first Prop Masters to be invited into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; admitted as a Designer in 2018. His career as a Prop Master has spanned 38 years resulting in the creation of props for over 45 feature films. Known most recently for his work on Dune 2, Dune, Blade Runner 2049, Batman vs Superman. In addition, Doug has worked with Barry Sonnenfeld on all of the Men in Black movies and with Steven Spielberg on Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, War Of The Worlds, and The Terminal, just to name a few. He received the coveted Hamilton Behind the Scenes Award for his contribution to the film industry in 2012. Doug has filmed all over the world, and, when not working, splits his time between his houses on Martha’s Vineyard and Los Angeles.
