A push for property managers to be regulated is receiving a strong show of support from 26 organisations.
The organisations have signed a letter calling for the Government to protect renters and landlords, by forcing property managers to become licensed and accredited.
They are presenting the letter to Housing Minister Phil Twyford today.
Real Estate Institute New Zealand spokesperson Dee Crooks told Mike Yardley they believe half of managers are unlicensed.
"This is about the entire industry to be regulated, all adhering to the same set of standards and just having some consistency across the organisation."
