I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally.
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:1-7

Meditating on scripture and prayer
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. . . . If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
John 15:5-6
Attitude and behavior
[P]ut off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires . . . . put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
Tithes and offering
Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. . . . No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Matthew 6:19-24
1. Priority: Give Him the first fruit, not the leftovers
2. Percentage: Consistent and generous
3. Progressive: As God blesses you, increase over time
Using your gifts to serve others
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Expanding the reach of Christ’s message
Meditating on scripture and prayer
Attitude and behavior
Tithes and offering
Using your gifts to serve others
