This is the first, of what I hope will be a series of episodes with people who are reconstructing their faith inside or outside of church, where you can often feel on your own, but how do you sustain that faith.
I am starting with a friend of mine, Mike Parker, who is actually a church leader at Worthing Baptist Church on the south coast of England.
It might seem strange to start this series with someone who leads a church, but I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed the conversation from the perspective of someone who has the job of leading a church whilst also having questions about faith.
In this series I will be asking guests what books have been a help to them on this journey. Mike chose four books listed below with an interesting choice at the end and not listed here:
The Faraway Tree series — Enid BlytonTo Kill a Mockingbird — Harper LeeThe Shack — W. Paul YoungJayber Crow — Wendell BerryI hope you enjoy the episode as much as I enjoyed the conversation, and if you have an interesting story to tell about your faith journey, please let me know by emailing me at [email protected]
