God wants to be known and many of us do not really know Him. Job 42:5. What the Bible does for us is describe God but if you don not pursue what you have read in an experiential way we do not know God. Salvation is common but relationship is not. Romans 5. Justification by Faith is the access card to all of God.

It is possible to have a religion without a relationship; however the two must be there.

The first step is that you must count everything as loss. God's will is for us to be poor in the Spirit. That you are hungry and thirsty in the spirit and nothing can sanctify that thirst except God. Anything that you have in your life that you cannot let go off for God has taken the place of God in your life and must be silenced.
