Defend Jerusalem brings us to part 78 of Isaiah’s Prophetic Book. We have looked at the Assyrian threat, which as common knowledge today; we know, and scripture tells us God defeated them at the gates of Jerusalem. But the Lord used it as a warning and a message for Judah to draw close to Him and not seek after other gods or the arm of the flesh to depend on. For the Lord is their defense. So too in these perilous times, as believers the Lord our God through #Jesus [#Yeshua] #Christ is our defense. There is no doubt the Approach and threat of the Assyrians to Judah also warns the tiny nation that another threat comes, and this will be #Babylon. To this, #Judah finds another lesson and so do those who have ears to hear.
