In week two of Defiance, Discipline & Deliverance we’ll meet a God who won’t quit on a people who keep quitting on him. Hosea’s painful marriage to Gomer is not just a strange Bible story, it’s a living picture of Israel’s spiritual adultery and of God’s scandalous love. As we dive into this book, we’ll see Hosea move between sharp indictment & tender restoration, holding out the promise that even when exile and consequence come, God’s heart is to redeem. In the end this sermon will challenge us to consider where we have made other things our security and call us to place our hope and trust fully in God once again.
