DEFIANT Mayor told "DO NOT COME" to CPD funeral, CHICAGO POLICE fed up with DEFUND politics!?
Ultimately shameful Mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, ended up saying he will not be attending services for fallen Chicago Police officer Enrique Martinez, killed in the line of duty, at only 26 years old. The Mayor has now again publicly contested a family's request to honor their deceased loved one, who also is a public servant who paid the highest price for this city. Does he not know how to read the room?
A Chicago Sun-Times WatchDog Investigation revealed one in six police has left CPD since 2016. The city cannot afford to lose more officers, yet the rhetoric continues to discourage safe, collaborative, community policing, especially coming from our highest officials and the media.
