On this month’s podcast, we provide a framework to classify ‘disruptive innovation’, inspired by Clayton Christensen’s original definition and model of disruptivity. We present four key types of innovation: discontinuous, radical functionality, sustaining and disruptive innovation and their commercial impact. Understanding how the different types of innovations should be commercialized and diffused is useful for those who work to bring innovations to market.
