This week at LYA, we began our Love, Sex, & Dating series by defining love through the lens of Scripture. Looking at 1 John 4, Genesis 1, Romans 5, and 1 Corinthians 13, we were reminded that God is love and He alone sets the standard for it. Rather than operating for love or chasing feelings, we were challenged to live from our God-given identity as image bearers who mirror His self-giving, agape love. This message invited us to look inward before looking outward, to value what truly matters, and to become people who look like Jesus in the way we love others.
