In 1 Corinthians chapter 6 the apostle Paul is talking about God's call to moral purity and why God wants us to reserve sex for marriage and the signifigance of the marriage act. And he says, "Don't you realize that God's purpose was this; that a man would leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two would become one flesh!"
