Defining Your Pricing Structure

You’re in business, it’s to make money, right? So if you don’t have a solid and defined pricing structure, you’re going to hate owning your own business.
Someone once said to me, “If your voice doesn’t trimble a little when you quote your prices, you aren’t charging enough.”  That really stung because for the longest time, I focused on being the most affordable or I chased clients when they decided against working with me.  But part of Defining Your Pricing Structure places and verifies the value you place on your own work. If they (clients) are taking you from your family or activities, they should pay for your time.
Three Points:

1) Never quote in person

2) Clients that “need” a discount don’t really need you

3) Send official quotes, even with friends and family.
