Every one of us has a sin nature which separates us from God. It is the number one barrier between us and God and is the cause of death. Only God has the solution. In this part of The Story, we see that God’s new nation is in danger of annihilation in Egypt. God chooses Moses to lead the deliverance. Feeling unqualified, Moses voices this to God, who promises to equip him to confront Pharaoh with God’s demand, “Let my people go!” We all are in slavery to sin. Death, the destroyer, is coming. We need the blood of a lamb just as the Israelites did. The deliverance from sin is free, but you must ask for it.
