Great book! Very convicting! Could use a bit more emphasis on the power of grace though

This book is really convicting and brought to light many struggles in laziness I did not even realize I had. I would highly recommend it for any mature Christian!

My only concern was that I feel it over emphasizes our responsibility and choices a bit at the end, while under emphasizing the changing power of God's grace in our lives and how God ultimately delivers us from this sin, not our own efforts.

However, still a great book! I'm going to listen to it again in order to better identify where I personally struggle with laziness.

Anyone who needs a good ouch needs to listen to this. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Very practical and convicting

From binge watching Netflix to checking Facebook a hundred times a day it is very easy to be distracted from what you need to be doing. Zacharias Fomum is convicting in showing that we are meant to be productive and not to be lazy. I found this book helpful in showing how easy it is to give in to laziness and how to overcome it. However with that said I don't believe in all of his conclusions at the end as it is God's grace to people that allows them to be saved not the works of being productive people. Be discerning of what you hear and compare it to scripture is my advice.

No. The narration was very good.

I must confess that this book made me feel convicted, however, is not biblically accurate, especially when it infers that someone who is lazy cannot go to heaven. According to the Bible anybody who receives the sacrifice Jesus did on the cross is saved. Yes, we need to keep trying to obey the Lord, and do the best we can every day while we are alive, because we love Him and are grateful to Him, but people struggle with many things, nobody can achieve the perfection needed to be saved. The Bible also says that it is by grace that we are saved, not of works, so that no one can boast.
