God Over Us

Deliverance OVER Distraction

Listen Later

Welcome to God Over Us, encouragement, enlightenment and a growth space for parents, teens and 5-year-olds who want to talk about life and solutions. I am Alisha Blanks a mother, author, creator, dietitian and lactation consultant balancing motherhood, self-care, teenage-hood and 5-year-old hood.  It may seem complicated but with God all things are possible.

During this episode distraction was evident but when I focused on God as a mom, things changed for all of our good.

Main Points

Deliverance

·      Overcome distraction by focusing on God, no matter what

·      Life components of deliverance (practice daily)

·      Live out the unseen aspects of your God life, right here and right now – operate in it!

·      Crush and renounce the lie of distraction

·      Who will you believe when you are distracted, angry or in pain (is your “go to” standard set on the truth or a lie, chocolate or the Word?)

Wisdom and Fun

Proverbs 6:1-2 (NIV)

My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth. So do this my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen into your neighbors hands: Go-to the point of exhaustion [a]-and give your neighbor no rest! Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. Free yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.

[a] or Go humble yourselves

Check out the next episode to know what the word tremble means and to take a deeper dive into one of the key aspects of freedom in your life. #doYouWantToLiveYourBestLife
