In part two of our latest chat with Danny, after maybe a slightly too long story about toilet training we tackle the heavy topic of our mental health, how we’re dealing with that and also how we’re working on our relationships with our wives as well. Often two topics that take a back seat to parenting but important nonetheless…
Danny in New Jersey returns to the show, and like me, he’s just had his second kid so we got together to discuss how we’re adjusting to having another baby in the family and how we’re trying to be more efficient with our time, plus more.
It’s part two of my latest conversation with good friend of the show, Paul, in the first episode we did a bit of a switcheroo where he interviewed me and this is the continuation of that episode where we talk about things like Nature vs Nurture, encouraging kids to express their feelings, core childhood memories that involve McDonald’s and we finish on the life lesson of pleasure and pain in sports because we just couldn’t avoid talking about sports twice.
In this special episode, a friend of the show (Paul) returns, takes over the mic and interviews Della’s Dad.
They dive into what life’s really like right now: living with the grandparents, gearing up for baby number two, and navigating the chaos (and joy) of the toddler phase. From the ups and downs of spending more time with Della, to the challenges of daycare, discipline, and prepping her for a baby brother. From taking time off work to be more present, the cultural quirks of parenting in Australia vs the US, and the decisions we make that shape our children's personalities... and inevitably, the rules for enjoying sports
In part two of our conversation with Ruben where we talk about the differences between big city life in the US and small town life in Australia.. hitting various milestones, the stress and anxiety sometimes associated with them and the death of the sleep in for us parents

This week, after a long hiatus, we’re joined by Duke from Florida, he’s a father of two and he joins the podcast to talk about his journey dealing with his daughter’s movement disorder and other health challenges as well including the challenge of conceiving. It’s quite a heavy story with its share of hardship but still an incredibly inspirational conversation that I think we can all find value in. Part one of two...

In part 2 of my latest chat with Robin, we take a bit of a deep dive into food allergies, a pretty serious topic that impacts us all differently but nevertheless a topic I think we should all be familiar with.

One time guest Robin returns to the show, a two time dad based out in California we connect to discuss what it’s like to be with a toddler that’s pushing two years old, cranky tantrums, being hungry but not eating, picking favorites, reasoning with them, figuring out how much tv they should have, if any and encouraging independent play. It’s a wide ranging episode with some great insight from a dad that’s doing it for the second time.
