March 2016. Mosul. A group of Islamic extremists, formed from the ISIL propaganda magazine Dabiq and Al-Hisbah, the religious police, are tasked with investigating the home of Tariq Rassam, a suspected heretic and blasphemer against the Islamic State. Yet what they find in Rassam's home is much deeper and darker than they expected.
