The City of Philadelphia on Tuesday morning officially announced plans to develop a Bethel Burying Ground Historic Site Memorial. To erect a memorial that’ll honor the 3,000-5,000 individuals interred at the site, which is currently a playground, the City will have to demolish a heavily-used community center.
