The Pulitzer Prize winning entry "Demon Copperhead" from Barbara Kingsolver is this week's entry on Rick's Reading List.  Set in southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead follows the life of a young man who is born to a single mom and who grows up in a single-wide mobile home. But that's not the worst. Demon Copperhead follows the young man's treacherous upbringing, from becoming an orphan before his tenth birthday, being bounced from one foster home to another, to finally finding stability when he is taken in by a local football coaching legend.  Yet even a good turn still comes with challenges for young Demon, who finds other demons as he tries to come back from a football injury.
