Death is a subject that most people avoid having conversations about, even with loved ones. So let's be open to having conversations about it. In Episode 18 of The Sensitive Man Podcast, Simon Lim speaks to Chilean-born Eugenia Gajardo, who is an Artist, Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a terminal illness known as Interstitial Lung Disease and Traction Bronchiectasis.  The inability of Eugenia’s lungs to produce enough oxygen requires her to wear a breathing tube connected to oxygen supply. Her lungs are progressively failing on her. Prior to the interview, she had to have 20mg of Oramorph, a form of morphine to help her to be stable. She opens up to Simon about living before death and shares a heart-to-heart conversation about the meaning of life, the need to detach oneself from material things and celebrating life before death.  Eugenia gives insights to her reaction upon being diagnosed and talks about her life, her relationship with her daughter, and having a sense of humour in looking at physical challenges. She highlights the importance of having conversations about death and a positive attitude despite the realisation that life is going to be much shorter.
