The TV host and comedy writer Denis Norden has died at the age 96.

A statement released by Norden's children described him as: "A wonderful dad, a loving grandfather and great great-grandfather."

Allan Russell spoke to Denis back in 2009 following the news he had been diagnosed with age related macular degeneration - the most common cause of sight loss in the UK. Allan asked him how it changed his life.
