Denise A. Schmidt, 64, died unexpectedly on Sept. 13, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born on June 14, 1961, in Mt. Kisco, NY, and received her Master's Degree from Marshall University in West Virginia. She went on to a nearly 40-year career at the Cary Institute in Millbrook, where she served as Director of Lab Facilities.
