Dr. Denise Hardesty is a research scientist with CSIRO’s Oceans and Atmosphere. Her current research focus is on the flow of plastic from Australian communities to the ocean. She works closely with the government and the local communities to help create a comprehensive narrative of how marine debris affects us all.  She is also a global woman whose work has taken her from Africa to Antarctica!
