Denise started the First Wives Club after watching talented, beautiful, strong, and professionally-driven friends that she loved and admired struggle in their marriage. She came to the realization that there was a need for authentic support – a place where there was a willingness to share openly about the personal sacrifices that marriage demands. It started out as an intimate gathering of friends and she thought that was all it would ever be. Then one day, she posted about the First Wives Club on Facebook, things took off, and a nationwide movement was formed! All of this led to the publishing of her book, "I'm the Good Thing" in 2019. But get this: it almost didn't happen because Denise was hesitant about pushing the button to publish her book. Denise has many professional achievements that all pale in comparison to her role as Chuck Taylor’s wife and Chanise & Ciera Taylor’s mom. The Taylors reside in Charlotte, NC. In addition to overseeing the First Wives Club, Denise works professionally at a Fortune 500 company, is a licensed coach, trainer and speaker with the John Maxwell Team and she is an Independent Pampered Chef consultant (because it’s fun).
