In this episode, Dennis Milecki joins to talk about his journey as an artist. Dennis talks about his childhood growing up in Baltimore, how film-making and vinyl records brought him to Austin, how he discovered Art From The Streets, the art techniques he is focusing on now, the story of when he sold his first painting through Art From The Streets, how the program has changed his life, and more. 

Art From The Streets is a nonprofit based in Austin, Texas. The mission of Art From the Streets is to provide a safe and encouraging environment in which the positive spirit and creativity for those experiencing homelessness are nurtured through their own artistic expression. Because focusing on housing alone does not achieve other equally important goals that are relevant and motivating to improving and sustaining a quality of life.

Original artwork is for sale in art shows throughout Austin, Texas. At these shows in the community the artist receives 95% of sales. Artists receive 60% of the final price of online artwork and merchandise sales.
