In February 2015, Lake Placid News Editor Andy Flynn and Lake Placid Olympic Museum Director Alison Haas interviewed Olympic Center General Manager Denny Allen about his experiences working at the speedskating oval during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games. Allen died Feb. 1, 2019 at the age of 64, nine months after retiring.
