Welcome to our podcast Dr. Patel of Southshore dental in Trenton, MI. It was so fun talking digital technology with Dr. Patel. We went over his WHY for becoming a dentist. Also, he explained to me his favorite pieces of technology he uses in his practice.
Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree in biology and physiology from Michigan State University, then attended the University of Michigan Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. While completing his doctorate at the University of Michigan, he received the Comprehensive Care Award for excellence in patient care. Dr. Patel continued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he completed a two-year post-graduate implant surgery course.
Dr. Patel’s training includes experience with some of the leading professionals in his field, including extensive cosmetics training. He takes more than twice the required continuing education required to maintain licensure.
Dr. Patel also sits on the Michigan Dental Association board of membership and participates in several charitable dental organizations. His goal is to provide the latest and most advanced procedures using modern materials and the most current technology. Recently he has joined the University of Michigan School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Clinical Professor.
Dr. Patel enjoys sports, reading, scuba diving, and being with his family. He also is involved in non-profit dental organizations, including "Christina's smile," which provides free dental care for underprivileged children.
